What changes
The Municipality publishes the Ministry of the Interior form to ask to vote away from home, that is in the Municipality where one is temporarily domiciled, in national and European elections and referendums. It applies to people who are away for study or work (at least nine months), for medical treatment, or to care for a relative or a child in treatment. An identity document and proof of the situation are needed.

The form cites law no. 180 of 9 October 2026. For study or work the application must be submitted by 31 December of the year before the vote. The Municipality of domicile issues the admission to vote by the tenth day before the vote.
